Living in a Historic Neighborhood

Published by Board of Trustees under News

Westminster Place is located in the historic district of the Central West End. Historic districts are created by local ordinance, and are regulated by the historic district design standards in that ordinance. Therefore, any work done to the outside of a home in such a district requires a permit from the city’s Cultural Resource Office. This work would include, but not necessarily be limited to: exterior painting of masonry; repair and replacement of gutters, downspouts, windows, doors, and decorative trim; tuckpointing; siding; fencing; lighting; awnings and canopies; street furniture; and the like.

For clarification and information, call the CRO at 314-622-3400, or go online to: http://stlouis.missouri.org/citygov/planning/heritage/

The Cultural Resource Office is located at 1015 Locust Street (between 10th and 11th), St Louis, Suite 1200.
